Community Outreach
Since 2022, the Western Wake Children's Business Fair (WWCBF) team has led outreach efforts to promote youth entrepreneurship and broaden the fair’s reach.
They visited libraries, schools, after-school programs, summer camps, cultural festivals, art shows, and neighborhood parks.
At each location, they introduced the business fair, and encouraged children and teens to sign up as vendors or attend as shoppers.
To amplify these efforts, the team designed marketing materials such as colorful flyers, posters, and digital content. They also launched email campaigns, maintained an active social media presence, and partnered with local media and elected officials to spread the word.
Several local media covered the event, and the 2023 and 2024 fairs were attended by public leaders including North Carolina’s Secretary of State, a State House Representative, a Wake County Commissioner, Cary Town Council members, and the President of the Cary Chamber of Commerce.
Their support helped elevate the visibility of the event and celebrate young entrepreneurs.
The team’s work helped grow the business fair each year while reflecting the WWCBF’s mission: empowering future business leaders through creativity, confidence, and community.
