Our Story
Three high schoolers from Cary, North Carolina - Kenna, Claire and Sunny (pictured left to right) - participated in the Triangle Children's Business Fair when they were younger.
It was a one-day marketplace that gave children the chance to showcase their businesses and inspired them to discover their inner entrepreneurs. The experience sparked their creativity and business spirit.
However, when the fair was discontinued due to the pandemic and didn’t return, Kenna, Claire and Sunny were determined to create their own opportunity for young entrepreneurs.
In October 2023, they founded the Western Wake Children’s Business Fair (WWCBF) to inspire creativity, build confidence, and develop leadership skills in children. Since then, they have continued hosting the fair every fall.
The WWCBF is no longer just a one-day event - it has transformed into a vibrant, year-round organization focused on community outreach and empowering young kids through continuous programs and mentorship.
The team stays closely involved with the community, guiding children and teens as they explore business ideas, unlock their entrepreneurial potential, and gain confidence while developing leadership skills.
